Aquapor supports the start-up and operationalization of two inter-municipal management entities in Cape Verde.
The AQUAPOR/HIDRA Consortium has formalized the start-up of the Technical Assistance Contract to support the start-up, operationalization and capacity building of two new Intermunicipal Management Entities – Águas de São Nicolau (AdSN) and Águas de Santo Antão (AdSA). This contract, signed between the Consortium and the Luxembourg Cooperation LUX-DEV, has the following main objectives:
– Ensure the operationalization of the new intermunicipal water and sanitation management entities;
– Strengthen the management capacities of the two new entities, through the development and implementation of procedures and training;
– Preparing a set of technical studies to support diagnostic and planning activities.
This is a strategic project that will make a decisive contribution to the sustainability and efficiency of water and sanitation services on the islands of São Nicolau and Santo Antão.
