Quality, Environment and Safety

AQUAPOR – SERVIÇOS, S.A. and LUSÁGUA – SERVIÇOS AMBIENTAIS, S.A. are aware of the importance of the sector in which they operate and how it influences people’s quality of life.

To this end, it has implemented an Integrated Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management System, in accordance with the NP EN ISO 9001:2015, NP EN ISO 14001:2015 and NP EN ISO 45001:2023 standards, respectively, both in the provision of engineering services, the development of concession projects and the monitoring and control of companies’ activities in terms of drinking water collection, treatment, supply and distribution systems and in the collection, transportation and treatment of wastewater and solid waste and water analysis.

It is therefore essential to integrate the aspects of quality, environmental, safety and health management into a global management system that facilitates the pursuit of the goal of sustainable development at an economic, financial, technical, social and environmental level.

In the same way, we are committed to complying with the compliance obligations applicable to our activity, as well as all the other requirements assumed, namely regulatory and contractual.

The responsibilities assumed towards our stakeholders, namely Shareholders, Employees, Customers, Consumers and the Community in general, imply the adoption of a strategy of continuous improvement of the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System, which translates into a commitment present in the daily actions of all those who make up these Organizations, embodied in the actions listed below:

01 Customers – At the center of our attention

– Continuously improve customer service levels, in terms of guaranteeing the quality of the water supplied and reducing supply interruptions;

– Develop and improve customer relations by simplifying commercial processes and investing in alternative products/services in line with their needs and expectations;

– Ensure the economic sustainability of the concessionaires by supporting management, promoting planning and making the necessary investments;

– Promoting internal and stakeholder communication as a means of improving the efficiency of the activities carried out;

– Optimizing the operation of wastewater treatment and discharge systems and waste transport systems, particularly in terms of energy.

02 Better environment, better quality of life, better quality of service

– Take measures to promote the efficient use of resources, the minimization and proper management of waste and the prevention of pollution;

– Assume the sensitivity of the surrounding environment and the need to protect resources, directing activities towards minimizing the respective impacts, namely by monitoring technological progress and applying environmental protection principles at all stages of its activities;

– Defining objectives and targets in these areas, within the framework of the defined strategy, assessing the results obtained and planning actions to achieve them.

03 Human Resources – Valorization, Qualification and Competence

– Involving all employees in the continuous improvement of their activities, encouraging customer orientation with a view to meeting their expectations, as well as the adoption of good environmental and safety practices;

– To provide employees with the motivation, technical skills and training necessary to perform their duties, while also making them aware of their responsibilities in protecting the environment and the safety of their activities;

– To provide a working environment that is free from risks to the safety of people and property and that contributes to a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, promoting actions to meet the related objectives;

– Commitment to preventing injuries and health problems, eliminating hazards and reducing risks;

– Promoting worker participation and consultation;

– Disseminating the Quality, Environment and Safety Policy to all employees and making it available to all interested parties

Scope of LUSÁGUA’s QMS: implemented in the provision of management services for drinking water collection, treatment, supply and distribution systems, in the collection, transportation and treatment of wastewater, in carrying out water analyses, in the collection and transportation of solid waste, urban cleaning, landfill operations and infrastructure maintenance, in all the facilities it operates. Execution of basic sanitation contracts, electrical and mechanical installations.”

Scope of LUSÁGUA’s QMS: implemented in the provision of management services for drinking water collection, treatment, supply and distribution systems, in the collection, transportation and treatment of wastewater, in carrying out water analyses, in the collection and transportation of solid waste, urban cleaning, landfill operations and infrastructure maintenance, in all the facilities it operates.
