FOG Digest Project

FOG Digest Project

In the context of the circular economy, the aim of the test is to demonstrate the potential of biogas production capacity from an effluent rich in fats.

Contex

The FOG Digest Project aims to carry out an industrial-scale test demonstrating the technical and economic viability of an anaerobic digestion reactor with innovative features.

Goal

Turning what is, in a conventional digestion system, an operational problem, into an asset for biogas production – fats.

The test itself aims to answer 3 operational questions, which have been identified as crucial in previous tests with the pilot plant.

Affluent Adduction

Adapting the treatment process to start up in intermittent conditions
conditions.

Biogas Quality

Characterization of the quality and volume of biogas produced and its correlation with the plant’s operating regime.

Monitorization

Protocol for monitoring critical operating parameters. Tuning and maximizing biogas production.
