Aquapor has developed an innovative solution to help hotels quickly address the challenges posed by potable water scarcity.

Due to climate change, it is expected that drought episodes affecting the country will become more frequent and intense. In this context, Aquapor has designed containerized desalination units for hotel establishments that allow for the treatment of highly saline water, whether brackish or seawater, and convert it into potable water.

“This product was developed to provide an excellent response in scenarios of water scarcity, such as those recently registered in Portugal, as well as for situations where there is an urgent need for water, such as during maintenance operations, periods of water quality deterioration, or seasonal increases in consumption,” explains Fátima Pedroso, head of Industrial Solutions at Aquapor, a leader in municipal water concession management and part of the Saur Group.

Easy to install and uninstall, this plug-and-play solution comes with connection kits that allow it to be directly linked to the client’s infrastructure, optimizing the space required for its installation.

These mobile desalination units have the capacity to produce up to 50 m³/h of desalinated water, with a salt rejection rate of over 99%. They are a solution developed within the Saur group by MWS (Mobile Water Solutions), a company specializing in adaptable mobile water and wastewater treatment solutions.
