The Vila Real de Santo António School Group renovated a multisensory room to enhance the cognitive, communicative, social, motor, and educational skills of its students, and the AdVRSA – Águas de Vila Real de Santo António company partnered in this initiative.
Through the subscription to electronic bills from August to October, AdVRSA – Águas de Vila Real de Santo António, part of the Aquapor group, donated the flooring for the Snoezelen room, contributing to the project developed by the school group. The initiative aims to provide students with greater limitations a space where they can access the necessary human and material resources to engage in meaningful interactions and build significant learning experiences.
“The company has a social responsibility policy that we continually strive to develop through actions like this. Education, in particular, is a fundamental pillar of our society, which is why we wanted to participate in this project,” said Gonçalo Pacheco, General Director of AdVRSA – Águas de Vila Real de Santo António.
“Our Snoezelen room is becoming more comfortable and welcoming. Our project gained another partner, AdVRSA – Águas de Vila Real de Santo António, which made another step toward having a more complete room by installing vinyl flooring,” said Carla Santos, Special Education Teacher, on behalf of the Vila Real de Santo António School Group and the students who use the space.
The initiative serves students from the 7th to the 12th grade of the Vila Real de Santo António School Group.
