Resíduos Smart+, in partnership with Aquapor and the Municipality of Estarreja, launched a challenge for students from the municipality’s primary schools to raise awareness within the school community about the importance of water conservation.

“With the ‘Close the Tap’ project, we aim to raise awareness among young people about the importance of responsible water usage, as well as to show how we can contribute to the sustainability of this natural resource in our daily lives, as it is not unlimited,” said Sónia Fernandes, Environmental Awareness Technician at Aquapor.

Students were challenged to create a comic strip about the Urban Water Cycle, from the moment it is captured until it is returned to nature. The three classes with the winning entries will be awarded a guided visit to the Water Pavilion in Porto.
