On January 1st, Luságua took over urban cleaning services in the parish of Parque das Nações, one of Lisbon’s most emblematic areas.
The services in one of the city’s largest parishes, in terms of number of residents and visitors, will run for a period of 4 years and will introduce new urban cleaning systems, with emphasis on floor scrubbers and electric vacuum equipment, as well as small and large mechanical sweepers. The waste collected will be sent for recovery and the water used for cleaning will be recycled in the equipment itself, thus reducing consumption from the public network. The aim is to promote environmental sustainability, with equipment that reduces the ecological footprint and greenhouse gas emissions.
